Frutro began with the vision of our founder, Randy Trau, whose lifelong experience in the international food industry is matched only by his passion for helping others. Beyond food, Randy has dedicated years to supporting schools and places of worship, inspiring what he calls “Kids and Kids at Heart.”
In 2015, he brought those two passions together and launched the Frutro Brand. Through his company, International Food Specialists (IFS), Randy traveled to Costa Rica—a country celebrated for its tropical abundance and healthy lifestyle. There, with the expertise of Henry Chou’s company, Valle Metropolitano, he developed a formula for snacks that deliver both joy and wellness.
